What People Are Saying About South Bay BREW-BAIX

“No need for cobbles or France, The Brew-Baix brought the excitement to SD with some South county dirt. The Brew-Baix takes you through urban dirt ditches and niches and up nature’s mounds for epic views. Suffer-happy, and enjoy a day with friends and family in the Brew-Baix.” — Rafa T.

“The Brew-Baix showcases the best of South Bay dirt with the cheeriest crew of locals you could ever want to ride with… or far behind in my case… Bring legs! If it’s wet like last year… bring chain lube too… You’re in for a treat! It’s a not to be missed highlight of the year!” — Robin B.

“The Brew-Baix was definitely a highlight of 2022. At 85 miles and 8400 feet of climbing it was a test of endurance and bike handling as we traversed some of the South Bay's most challenging gravel, trails and single track. You don't truly know yourself until you climb (or attempt to climb) the North side of the dreaded Otay Mountain up from Pio Pico. Don't miss out on what promises to be a stellar route in 2023.” — Casey R.

“Last year's South Bay Brew-Baix had all the elements for an epic grass roots gravel classic. A challenging climb up to the top of Otay Mountain with epic views only to be followed by a fast and fun descent down the other side where you are greeted with miles and miles of more happy dirt. The self-supported nature of the event allows for a balance of camaraderie and competition on the roads ahead as you navigate some of the best dirt in all of San Diego County. No matter which course you choose, your guaranteed a leg busting good time.” — Steven K.

“The South Bay Brew-Baix has much to offer for riding dirt and Otay Mountain is a gem that’s well worth the challenging climb, offering some of the best views in San Diego County.”  —Samer K.
